Leadership Academy Class of 2019 Selected

(October 30, 2018, Springfield, Mo. – The 2019 Leadership Academy class of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS® has been announced. Eight REALTORS^® have been chosen out of numerous candidates. Modeled after Missouri REALTORS^® Leadership Academy, the new program will assist Local Boards/Associations across the state in training emerging REALTOR^® leaders so that they may exert a positive influence in their community. Training sessions will focus on advocacy and provide meeting opportunities with local Legislators, networking, teamwork and collaboration.

Introducing REALTORS^® to leadership opportunities and training on the local level will not only provide education and knowledge of community issues but also prepare them for leadership opportunities locally. Graduates of the state’s Leadership Academy have gone on to serve as leaders at the local, state and national level. Leadership Launch was designed to serve as a stepping stone to the state’s Academy program by introducing REALTORS^® to leadership training.

Founded in 1936, Missouri REALTORS^® is the second largest trade association in the state with nearly 20,000 members.  As members of organized real estate, REALTORS^® subscribe to a strict code of ethics and have access to numerous services and programs to enhance their professionalism.  Through its collective strength, influence and professionalism, the Missouri REALTORS unite to advocate for real property rights in Missouri, deliver comprehensive risk management programs and services, connect members through various media and events, and deliver association management services.
