The Boards of Directors of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS^® and its Multilist Service of Springfield REALTORS^® met the morning of November 14th.  At the meeting, Kirk Hewitt (Broker/Salesperson with Coldwell Banker-Vanguard) was recognized as a Community Champion.  Kirk has spent more than twenty-five years in dedicated leadership of REALTORS^® Helping People.  Most of that time has been spent as President of the 501(c)(3) organization.

Hereafter, GSBOR will select an annual recipient of the “Kirk Hewitt Community Champion Award”.  Future recipients will be recognized for their contributions to enhancing the opportunities for homeowners to enjoy the American Dream.  Community outreach is a vital activity for local real estate associations, and Kirk’s efforts have assisted hundreds of low- to moderate-income homeowners with repairs, allowing them to stay in their homes.  Efforts in recent years have been in conjunction with Council of Churches and its Handyman Connection Services program.

We are grateful for Kirk’s efforts and achievements, and so proud of the leadership he has provided the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS^® and REALTORS^® Helping People.
