2021 dues renewal billing notice was emailed on December 11, 2020 and is due by January 31, 2021. There was no increase in your annual local board dues for 2021. In addition, your monthly MLS fees will also remain the same in 2021.

I realized this is an item that nobody is awaiting with great anticipation and excitement. That being said, as we look forward with great hope to 2021, it’s important we think back to the dues you paid at the beginning of the year. Never before have dues been shown as such a worthy investment. On the local level, your association worked very hard to keep real estate as an essential business, so that regardless of lockdown or quarantine, we kept going. On the state level, six new forms regarding COVID were fast-tracked and distributed very quickly to assist members and clients involved in transactions during the pandemic.

And on the federal level, for the first time and due in no small part to the lobbying efforts of NAR, unemployment and federal loans were made available to self-employed REALTORS®. And it’s not that the value of the local, state, and national dues that you pay just appeared this year – they were just more obvious. While that obviousness doesn’t occur every year, the Staff of your association and I are working hard to both reinforce our current value propositions and create new ones. We value your membership and are here to help you through 2021!

Jeff Kester, CEO of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS®
